Plumber Course – Eligibility Criteria

  1. Educational Qualification:

    • Minimum: 8th Class Pass 

    • Basic knowledge of math and science is preferred

  2. Age Limit:

    • Minimum: 14 years

    • No upper age limit 

  3. Medical Fitness:

    • Candidate should be physically fit, especially for tasks that involve manual labor and working in various positions

  4. Additional Requirements 

    • Basic understanding of tools or previous handyman experience is a plus

1. Theory Subjects

  • Introduction to Plumbing

    • Role and responsibilities of a plumber

    • Types of plumbing systems (residential, commercial, industrial)

  • Tools and Equipment

    • Identification and use of plumbing tools (wrenches, pipe cutters, threaders, etc.)

    • Maintenance of tools

  • Pipes and Fittings

    • Types of pipes (PVC, CPVC, PPR, GI, copper, etc.)

    • Types of fittings and their uses

  • Plumbing Materials

    • Sealants, gaskets, flux, solder, adhesives

    • Valves, faucets, and fixtures

  • Water Supply Systems

    • Source of water

    • Distribution system

    • Overhead and underground tanks

  • Sanitation and Drainage

    • Layout and installation of drainage systems

    • Traps, vents, and inspection chambers

  • Blueprint Reading

    • Reading and interpreting plumbing diagrams and building plans

  • Safety and Environment

    • Personal protective equipment (PPE)

    • Worksite safety

    • Waste disposal and water conservation
