  • Introduction to Draughtsmanship:

    • Role and responsibilities of a mechanical draughtsman

    • Types of technical drawings

  • Drawing Instruments & Their Use:

    • Types of pencils, scales, protractors, compasses, and drafting boards

    • Maintenance and handling of tools

  • Engineering Drawing Basics:

    • Types of lines, lettering, dimensioning

    • Geometrical construction

    • Orthographic projection

  • Limits, Fits & Tolerances:

    • Types of fits (clearance, interference, transition)

    • Surface roughness symbols

  • Threading & Fasteners:

    • Types of threads (metric, BSW, ACME)

    • Bolts, nuts, rivets, and locking arrangements

2. Trade Practical

  • Freehand sketching and drawing practice

  • Manual drawing of machine parts and simple assemblies

  • Exercises in orthographic and isometric projection

  • Use of drafting equipment for technical drawings

  • Practice on simple dimensioning and sectional views

3. Workshop Science and Calculation

  • Units and measurements

  • Basic arithmetic (fractions, decimals, percentages)
