Tailoring Course – Eligibility Criteria

  1. Educational Qualification:

    • Minimum: 5th to 8th Pass 

    • Literacy in the local language is preferred

  2. Age Limit:

    • Minimum: 14 years

    • No upper age limit

  3. Medical Fitness:

    • Should be physically fit for fine motor tasks and long sitting hours

  4. Preferred Skills:

    • Interest in sewing, fashion, or crafts

    • Basic hand-eye coordination and attention to detail

    • Fabric behavior, care, and suitability for different garments

  • Measurements and Sizing

    • Taking body measurements accurately

    • Standard size charts and body proportions

  • Pattern Making and Drafting

    • Introduction to pattern making

    • Drafting basic blocks: blouse, skirt, pants, salwar, kameez

    • Pattern marking and cutting techniques

  • Stitching Techniques

    • Types of stitches (hand and machine)

    • Seams, darts, pleats, tucks, and hems

    • Machine operations and maintenance
